The tickets for the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Azerbaijan were purchased by fans from 54 countries of the world. And Russia is leading with 50 percent of the tickets sold for the Baku race. In an exclusive conversation with “Moscow-Baku”, the public relations manager of the Baku City Circuit Operations Company Gulnaz Guliyeva said that the Baku Grand Prix in Azerbaijan is very popular among Russian fans.
The Azerbaijani capital will once again welcome the stars of modern motor racing on June 23-25. The length of the city track in Baku City Circuit is 6,006 km and passes through the most beautiful places of the capital. It was designed by the architect of all modern tracks of Formula 1 Hermann Tilke. The width of the track varies from 13 to 7.6 meters. The narrowest run is on Aziz Aliyev Street, and it has already become a calling card of the Formula 1 Baku Grand Prix. “Here the track goes up and twists – this is a very interesting place. There are the walls and gates of the Old City on the left – a historical monument protected by UNESCO, and residential architectural houses on the right.” Gulnaz Guliyeva said.
